**Who will be participants in the Science Collaborative?**

Groups and organizations in the Klamath Basin with expertise in or affected by decisions about water management, water quality, and fisheries. These may include but are not limited to Tribes, state and federal agencies, irrigation districts, nonprofit organizations, landowners, and elected representatives.

**What does the Collaborative expect from participants?**

It is expected that each participating entity nominate at least one person dedicated to participating in monthly meetings. Participants will preferably be working in a science and technical capacity in the Klamath Basin. Meetings are estimated to be 0.5-1.5 days in length and besides the kick-off, hybrid in nature. Additional time commitments may include follow-up meetings, subgroup meetings, and report and/or analysis review.

**Do I have to participate?**

All participation is welcome and voluntary. Meeting notes and materials produced by the Science Collaborative will be open and accessible on the website.&#x20;

**What is the goal or purpose of the Collaborative?**

The goal or purpose is to bring together people within the Klamath Basin, and to work together to identify management objectives and science-based models to evaluate management actions. This is expected to be an iterative and long-term process.

**How long does the decision analysis process typically take?**

The Science Collaborative is expected to be a long-term process extending over many years. It will take time to work together to set up the decision analysis framework, group structure and workflow, develop preliminary models and evaluation approaches, and conduct sensitivity analyses. The process will then be repeated as uncertainty is identified, information needs are prioritized, and new data are integrated into models.
