Upcoming Klamath Basin Science Collaboritve In-Person Meeting
March 31st, 2026 from 9 am to 4 pm
Ashland, Oregon
Welcome
The Klamath Basin Science Collaborative is organizing people and processes focused on co-production and integration of knowledge within the Klamath Basin.

The Science Collaborative plans to use decision analytic approaches to collaboratively develop objectives related to water resources and ecosystem management in the Klamath Basin, and open and transparent models for understanding and evaluating these objectives.
The motivation for the Klamath Basin Science Collaborative includes:
Fostering a transparent and inclusive process that involves representatives throughout the Basin in water and ecosystem management decision-making processes. This process will include describing problems, collecting and integrating data, building conceptual and numerical models, conducting sensitivity analyses, and understanding and communicating the results.
Establishing a science-based decision-making framework that incorporates new and existing information and adjusts priorities based on the Science Collaborative process.
Promoting the use of science-based decision making that integrates the best available data and methods.
Development and recurring use of decision support models to answer questions related to management objectives for the Klamath Basin. Decision support models may be conceptual, qualitative, or quantitative models and will depend on the Science Collaborative process.
